Products that are 3.4 ounces (100 mL) or less are considered travel size. Travel size bottles and other containers that meet these weight and volume criteria can be brought onboard an airplane in a carry-on bag. However, it’s important to remember that passengers are often limited to one quart-sized plastic bag of liquids, creams, and other TSA size bottles of other personal-care products.

A majority of SkinCeuticals full-size products come in approved TSA size bottles. In fact, our serums, moisturizers, masks, and sunscreens all meet the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s requirements for travel size products that can be packed in carry-on luggage. At this time the only SkinCeuticals products that are not available in travel size are our cleansers, toners, and body treatment lotions. However, you can decant your home-based products into TSA size bottles to avoid checking your luggage when you fly. You can do the same for your gym bag, or any other time you want to take your full SkinCeuticals regimen to go.

After decanting your cleansers, toners, and body lotions into TSA size bottles, all of your other SkinCeuticals skincare essentials can be packed for your trip as is. Regardless of where your travels may take you, be sure to pack a travel size sunscreen. When flying, we also suggest packing our Antioxidant Lip Repair for environmental protection, smoothing, and soothing as needed. Our travel size Phyto Corrective Essence Mist is great for reducing the appearance of redness while calming and hydrating the skin without disturbing your makeup—whether you’re in the air or on the ground.

Yes, travel size products have expiration dates, and it’s important to be mindful if you don’t travel that often. However, if you are using your SkinCeuticals products daily (although they are technically travel size) this shouldn’t be a concern. Just remember that most skincare products (travel size or not) have a shelf life of 10 to 12 months after being opened, while our vitamin C antioxidant serums are best used within six months after opening.
