Those with a normal skin type should start with a core daily skincare regimen that includes a gentle cleanser, vitamin C antioxidant, moisturizer, and sunscreen. From there, serums can be added based on specific concerns such as premature signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration, dullness, and rough skin texture. Though normal skin is not overly oily or dry, it can generally tolerate glycolic acid and retinol for a skin-smoothing, radiance-enhancing boost. Normal skin can also benefit from a gentle exfoliating toner as well as occasional masques that help optimize the skin’s health and appearance. Those with normal skin can experience occasional breakouts, even without the over-production of sebum associated with oily skin.
